It started with the table being set so beautifully, and the fantastic personally etched champagne flutes. We so appreciated the delicious extra starter course, the lamb dinner was honestly the best we have BOTH experienced in our lives (and we eat at fine dining restaurants once a week!) Honestly the attention to detail throughout the evening was tremendous. The crème brûlée...mmm... The fact that you baked our children cookies too, left us scrumptious nibbles for breakfast this AM, and sent us pictures of the evening today, was truly above and beyond our expectations! We engaged Frances to join us on our family cruise off the coast of British Columbia for a week in the summer of 2006. We talked with her a few times in advance of the trip to talk about food preferences and requirements for the family and our guests. Frances completed all the shopping and joined us at the beginning of our trip. She was with us for the whole week on a reasonable size yacht, but still fairly close quarters.
The quality of the food and the preparation and presentation was excellent. Frances provided a wonderful variety of cuisine - it was always fresh and mostly organic – there were simple items for the kids and gourmet dishes for the adults. She did a great job organizing everything including the timing of preparing the meals and snacks through the day. She also provided a number of special surprises – new dishes and exotic snacks.
Frances fit in exceptionally well with our family. We would love to have her work for us again on a trip and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her private chef service to others.
